I am Purnima Aiyar, an Advertising Professional turned Fitness Instructor. One thing I have learnt in my experience of working with women of all ages, from teens to middle aged to the elderly, is the importance of prioritising mental & emotional health as much as physical health for overall well-being. All my programs have a holistic approach to wellness where I coach my clients not only on effective movement practices to achieve physical health goals such as healthy weight loss, improved stamina, strength, flexibility & balance but also on frameworks, tools & practices to cultivate healthy lifestyle habits for better mental & emotional health.
I hold several NCCA Accredited Certifications – Group Fitness Instructor Certification from ACE, Personal Trainer Certification from ACE, Functional Movement Specialist from ACE, Zumba Instructor Certification from Zumba, Women’s Fitness Specialist from NASM, Yoga TTC from Sivananda Ashram Kerala etc. I have also done an 8 week intensive online course in MBSR (Mindfulness based stress reduction). I believe in continuous learning and staying up to date with Fitness Industry Standards in order to support and add value to my clients.
I love my work and the daily opportunity to positively influence lives. Apart from Fitness Coaching, I enjoy reading, writing, learning something new, dancing, and raising my daughter.
